DOUGLAS M. LASH received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University and his Juris Doctor degree (cum laude) from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, where he served as editor-in-chief of The Journal of Law in Society. Super Lawyers named Doug a 2013 Rising Star.

Prior to joining the firm in 2014, Doug spent six years working in the multiemployer practice group of a law firm in Michigan. He has significant experience in advising fiduciaries in the building and construction trades, including issues of fiduciary responsibility, defined benefit and defined contribution plan design and administration, benefit claim litigation, and withdrawal liability. He has also obtained numerous favorable letters of determination from the Internal Revenue Service on behalf of retirement plan clients, successfully resolved plan qualification issues via the IRS Voluntary Compliance program, and advised plan sponsors on Pension Protection Act funding issues, including funding improvement and rehabilitation plans.
